  • The Four Pillars | Daily Apple Clinic

No debemos apagarnos. Debemos sintonizarnos. Book an Appointment

Erectile dysfunction, commonly known as ED or impotence, is the inability to get and keep an erection firm enough for sex. Having difficulty with an erection from time to time isn't always a cause for concern, but it often is a source of embarrassment. Treatment may include focusing on an underlying issue, or medications and more direct treatments may be more appropriate. What are the risk factors for ED? Male sexual arousal is a complex process involving interconnected body systems. Additionally, stress, anxiety and mental health concerns can cause or worsen erectile dysfunction. Sometimes a combination of physical and psychological issues cause erectile dysfunction. Some common causes and risk factors include: Older age Tobacco use Diabetes Heart disease Obesity Prostate surgery Radiation treatment Injuries Some medications Drug or alcohol use Stress Anxiety Depression In order to prevent erectile dysfunction, we recommend healthy lifestyle choices and managing any existing health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and other chronic health issues. You should stop smoking, avoid alcohol and illegal drugs, exercise regularly, learn to reduce stress and find help for anxiety, depression and mental health concerns. How do I discuss erectile dysfunction with my doctor? Short answer: However you're most comfortable. Just ask any question you need to in order to clarify your understanding. When you discuss erectile dysfunction with your provider at Daily Apple Clinic, they will review your current symptoms, medical history and other specific sexual problems such as premature or delayed ejaculation. You will review your medical history for diabetes, heart disease and other conditions that may be linked to your erectile dysfunction. Your provider will conduct a thorough physical exam and may recommend blood tests, urine tests, ultrasounds, or other imaging procedures in order to gather additional important information. What are common ED treatments? The treatment for ED generally starts with taking care of your heart and vascular health. Common treatments available for erectile dysfunction include: Lifestyle changes: Maintaining healthy lifestyle habits, including weight loss if you’re overweight and regular exercise, may help reduce ED symptoms without the need for further intervention. You may be asked to stop smoking and stop using drugs and alcohol. You will likely also discuss emotional issues such as relationship conflicts, depression and anxiety. Medications: Oral pills known as phosphodiesterase type-5 inhibitors are the most common. Brand names are Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. These medications increase penile blood flow and the rigidity of your erection. Hormone therapy: Low testosterone is a possible cause of erectile dysfunction. You may be tested several days apart in order to determine your levels of serum testosterone. If levels are low, your doctor may suggest injections, patches, or gels to boost testosterone in your body. Injections: Penile injections with a very fine needle, done by the patient at home, can stimulate blood flow and provide a reliable erection for 20 to 30 minutes. Self injection lessons will be given in the doctors office prior to doing it on your own. If you have hesitated to discuss erectile dysfunction with your provider up until now, please see a trusted and knowledgeable member of the Daily Apple Clinic healthcare team for assistance with this important issue. • Primary Care | Daily Apple Clinic

Primary Care Daily Apple Clinic Adult Care, Primary Care, & Family Nurse Practitioners located in Congress Park, Denver, CO One of the best ways to maintain your health and reduce the risk of illness and disease is to see a primary care provider on a regular basis. A primary care provider is essential in helping you maintain good health, prevent disease by identifying risk factors, and manage chronic disease in order to increase longevity and improve your quality of life. Daily Apple Clinic is located in Congress Park in Denver, Colorado. Paul Reynolds, FNP and Monica Schonteich, FNP and all of the skilled providers there are ready and able to care for your needs. Our clinic generally specializes in primary care services for adults and kids ages 12 and older. Please call the office to schedule an appointment or book one online today. Call Us: 720-593-8989 Primary Care Q & A What is Primary Care? Primary care is healthcare at a general rather than specialized level, often for people making an initial approach to a doctor or nurse for treatment. It is a branch of medicine focused on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of common chronic (ongoing) and acute conditions. Why might I need primary care? Primary care providers manage day-to-day health needs. Establishing a long-term relationship with a primary care provider (PCP) keeps you healthier and lowers medical costs. A PCP can teach you ways to stay healthy, treat you when you're sick and help you get more advanced care when you need it. You might need primary care if you’re at risk of, or currently need help with, some of the following conditions: High blood pressure High cholesterol Diabetes Heart disease Thyroid disorders Asthma or allergies Injuries Illnesses Arthritis Obesity Chronic pain Erectile dysfunction (ED) Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) Skin problems such as warts, moles, rashes, or skin tags In addition to primary care, Daily Apple Clinic offers a comprehensive list of specialized services and procedures. These might include dermatology services (cryogenic treatment, wart and skin tag removal, mole excision, biopsies, Botox, etc.), laceration repair with sutures or glue, wound care, urgent care needs, women's health procedures and testing, assistance with mental health and referrals to other specialists as needed. We provide vaccinations, medications, prescriptions, and more. What happens during primary care visits? When you arrive at Daily Apple Clinic for primary care appointments, you will be greeted by compassionate staff members who listen and are interested in how they can best take care of you. When testing is necessary, Daily Apple Clinic offers on-site, point-of-care testing which provide immediate results and so we can offer symptom relief as quickly as possible. Examples include: pregnancy tests, strep throat testing, mononucleosis testing, influenza testing, fecal occult blood tests, COVID testing, urinalysis, drug screening, spirometry, etc. Daily Apple Clinic also partners with both Quest and LabCorp. Those lab facilities are nearby, and there’s a pharmacy across the street for added convenience. The clinic also partners with many nearby hospitals and facilities for imaging and referrals. We offer many in-office procedures as noted above and fill medications via e-prescription. A clinical evaluation may include the following: Vital signs check: Your provider assesses your weight, body mass index (BMI), pulse, blood pressure, and temperature during the vital signs check portion of your appointment. Medical history review and physical: Your provider reviews your symptoms and medical history and completes a physical examination to assess your throat, breathing, heartbeat, abdomen, skin, reflexes, etc. In addition, your provider may perform breast and pelvic exams or a Pap test to screen for signs of cervical cancer in women or conduct a prostate exam for men. Diagnosing testing: If you have an illness, disease risk factors or show signs of a medical problem, your Daily Apple Clinic provider may recommend diagnostic testing. Examples include nasal or throat swabs, STD testing, blood tests, urine tests, asthma or allergy tests, pregnancy testing, X-rays, ultrasounds, or other imaging procedures. Treatment: Primary care treatments typically include lifestyle changes (weight loss, healthy eating, regular exercise, etc.) but may also include home remedies, dermatology treatments, medications, injections, or injury care. Your provider may refer you for further diagnostic testing or specialty care for complex medical problems. When should I schedule primary care appointments? Of course, every individual is different, so the following guidelines are not set in stone. In general for both men and women, if you are in basically good health and under the age of 50, it is recommended you see your PCP every three years for a checkup. After age 50, see your doctor once a year. Then, visit us as needed for acute illnesses, chronic health issues or follow-up visits. You are usually able to book a same-day appointment if you or your family and friends experience new or unusual symptoms or have concerns about your health and wellness. To schedule a primary care appointment with the Daily Apple Clinic, please call the office or book a consultation online today. • Lifestyle and Environment | Daily Apple Clinic

• Coaching | Daily Apple Clinic

Coaching/Entrenamiento We believe in personal growth. Let's start with a story... As a freshman in college, Paul realized he was in sore need of guidance. The world had become a pretty big place, and it was clear he knew a lot less than he would need to know in order to get by in life. The voices around him had become unfamiliar, and he wondered who could help. He had always valued his grandmother's wisdom and thought she might have some answers. He also knew her life was coming to a close and didn't want to miss the opportunity to hear what she might have to say. So, he wrote her a letter. He told her he was feeling unsure about how to find his way, and he asked her what she thought were the most important things he needed to know in life. A couple of weeks later, he received a letter back. In it, she said, "Just do your best, and always be true to your word." And, here at Daily Apple Clinic, we think that was some pretty good advice. At DAC, we believe we can do no less than honor one another by being true to our word and waking up every day with the intention of being even better than the day before. We accept our human shortcomings and know that if we want to truly make a difference we can't just give lip service to the things we believe in. Instead, we aim to live and breathe our ideals in order to create change in ourselves and in the world around us. And, the truth is, we really don't have any other choice. We can only look to ourselves to be the people we want to be. Only you can choose for you. Life always puts us in the driver's seat. "Okay... sounds nice. I like being in charge of me, but how can I do that? How can I get started?" Well, it just requires a little mental gardening. You need to plant a seed in your mind. It begins with this: Attitude is everything. You first must decide how you will see the world and your future. As you awaken to what is possible and see yourself as a unique, capable and creative person, you will allow your independent, potential self the freedom to exist. You must not allow the perceptions of yourself that have been created by others control your future. It is your perspective and your vision forward that will guide you. It’s a simple concept, and we know that it works. There's really no rocket science here. You can't hit what you don't aim at, and, when people take a vested interest in being the best they can be, they always succeed. Something good always comes of that effort. Where you choose to focus is where you will end up, and, the truth is, we just have to choose that path. "Oh, but what about those scary pitfalls...?" Right... potholes, speed bumps, etc. We are well aware of them. Obstacles happen, and toddlers learn early on that they fall where gravity takes them, so you have to step up and out with both intention and with care in order to reach the endpoint you have in mind. Our goal is to help you find and choose the path that is best for you and help you avoid mistakes along the way. We’re not looking for perfection, just honest effort. We all stumble, but we expect you to take responsibility for learning healthy behaviors and putting them into practice a little at a time, step by step. We just expect everyone to do their best, every day. "So... what makes you think I can do this?" Because we know your potential. Yep... you. The truth is, your life and existence are nothing short of miraculous, and the world is waiting for you to show them what you have to offer. We truly believe every person has the capacity to do something amazing. Only you have your DNA and your gifts, and we remind our patients of their uniqueness and incredible capacity every day. When folks finally recognize their value and potential, they start to grow and get better as they follow their true purposes. It never fails. And, it's pretty cool. So, we're looking for patients who truly want to be healthier, happier and live their best possible lives. We are looking for people who will take personal responsibility for their choices and the ultimate direction their lives take. We're looking for people who hope to make a difference in their own special way as they make their gifts available to others. If you think that is you or you would like it to be you, we would love for you to join us on the journey. If things work out, we'll all get better together. When you become a patient, we will share our ideas about how you can be the person you want to be, provide resources for self-study as you find them helpful or useful, and connect you with counselors and educators to refine your specific goals. Our goal and purpose is to to help our patients live the lives they were meant to live. Take good care and hope to see you soon.

At Daily Apple Clinic we specialize in skin care services such as rashes, lesions, warts, moles, concerning bumps, cysts and infections, hair loss, and removing suspicious-looking growths to reduce your risk of skin cancer. Which dermatology services are available? Some of the many dermatology services available at Daily Apple Clinic include: Skin checks: Undergoing periodic skin checks is an excellent way to detect and treat skin cancer before it becomes serious and when it can still be treated effectively. During a skin cancer screening, your provider examines every part of your body, including your chest, face, arms, back, and legs, as well as your scalp, between your toes, behind your ears, and the bottoms of your feet. Biopsies: A skin biopsy is a procedure to remove cells or skin samples from your body for laboratory examination. A doctor uses a skin biopsy to diagnose skin conditions and remove abnormal tissue. If you notice abnormal-looking tissue, your provider may recommend a tissue biopsy for lab analysis by a pathologist. Cryosurgery: Cryosurgery is a surgery using the local application of intense cold to destroy unwanted tissue. In our clinics, this is done using liquid nitrogen in a special container designed to apply aerosolized liquid directly to the tissue with special tips that control the amount and direction of the liquid nitrogen. We use it to treat many skin conditions (including warts and skin tags). Wart and mole removal: Your Daily Apple Clinic provider can remove warts, moles, skin tags, and other tissue abnormalities to reduce irritation, bleeding, infection, cancer risk and improve the appearance of your skin. We may do this using cryosurgery or excision using a local anesthetic.
